Granada, City of My Dreams
Granada, City of My Dreams (May 2000) is Lorenzo's love song to the city of the Nasrid Kings, with over 200 pages of clear, informative, nostalgic and often ironic text, as well as some 60 of Lorenzo's drawings of Granada and the Alhambra.
Granada has a special place in our imagination, whether we have ever visited it or not. That is why Granada, City of My Dreams, in the words of the author, was written not only as a guide but as a book about Granada for the nun in Norway who is sitting in her armchair and wants to travel there in her mind.
Lorenzo, poet, polyglot, illustrator, curious traveller and "self-made historian " par excellence, has filled these pages with luminous descriptions and drawings, the culmination of forty years of wanderings through the palaces and labyrinths of his adopted homeland, Granada.

Portrait of Montefrio
Portrait of Montefrio (May 2003) is the latest of the "books for the curious traveller". Rather than a guide or a travel book, it can best be described as the story of a 40-year relationship with a Spanish town, in 220 wistful, witty and highly informative pages, with over 50 of Lorenzo's drawings and maps.
This erudite but free-wheeling work focuses on subjects such as Montefrio's history and archaeology, local traditions and ways of life. It tells of Lorenzo's friendship with a flamenco singer who was the town butcher and how he restored and redesigned an ancient farmhouse. There are also lively vignettes on Lorenzo's culinary inventions using local ingredients, the gypsy community, the art of making jamón serrano and olive oil, and, last but not least, the author's personal saga in Spain, which began at the tender age of 18.

Nina's Book
In March 2001 Lorenzo published the diary he kept during the time of his daughter's birth in Rio, Brazil. This eclectic tale of travel, love, friendship and philosophical meditation is entitled Nina's Book, and presents itself to the adventurous (and broad-minded) reader as "the making of a child of the world". It is illustrated with over 20 of Lorenzo's pen-and-ink postcards of Andalucia and Rio de Janeiro.
